Three of these four Suni Muslim women of Central Anatolia in Turkey, mothers of the girls in Girls_TR, did not want me to take their portraits. So I photographed their scarves and blouses with their own delicate needlepoint, an expression of local fashion, as a replacement portrait. Real scarves are sandwiched behind the photographes.
